Every container of Alliant Smokeless Powder is backed by a century of manufacturing experience and the most exacting quality control procedures in the industry. Chemical composition, grain shape and size, and overall density are constantly checked and tested in a ballistics lab to ensure consistency.
The Alliant Powder Reloder 33 is comparable to the Alliant Powder Reloder 17 in a number of respects. The same impregnated kernels with burn rate control features are used in the Alliant Powder Reloder 33 process, which is a proprietary method. This makes it possible to have a pressure curve that is more constant and has a delayed spike that can add as much as 150 feet per second in comparison to powders that are identical. This powder was developed specifically for the 338 Lapua Magnum, but it also performs admirably when used in other big capacity magnums and ultra-magnums.
